Showing their WI-nning ways

On the 21st of July the 10 Ladies from the WI visited our field to take part in what has become an annual "Have a Go" session. We had 3 targets set out for the ladies, and we had 5 helpers on hand to assist them.

(We even had a Junior down to help, which went down very well !)

After we made sure that everyone knew how to shoot safely, they insisted that we held a competition. This was very close, and indeed there was need of a Head to Head shoot off to see who came in second. The pictire shows the first 3 places.

Fortunately it kept dry, and the ladies went away happy.

If you would like to help at a Have a Go session, you do not need to be a qualified coach, just competant with a bow. It is a great feeling when you hear someone that you have helped shout out with joy when they get 3 "custards"
