As always,it is good to be shooting outdoors again. The field is in great condition and the hedges are starting to blossom - all part of the pleasure of our sport!
At one of the earliest local outdoor shoots, the Bassetlaw Bowmen's Western, shot at 60 and 50 yards, our members, Susan Stankovic, Robert Burton and Len Worrell, won the Compound Team Award. A good start to the season.Well Done!
Already, twenty-five people have completed the Spring Beginners' Course, making the most of the spell of fine week-ends over the last few weeks. We look forward to welcoming them as members of the club if they decide to join us.
Finally,a story of a small but significant success for one of our members. Competing at Kirby Muxloe, Julie Bancroft found herself shooting on the same target as the England No 1, Simon Terry. To her great delight, at on end she shot10,10,10, while Simon shot 10,10,9. A moment to remember,Julie, and we all share your pleasure!
