Round: Record Status Portsmouth

To be shoot in three sessions 9.00am , 12.00pm, 3.00pm

Compounds will shoot on 3 spot 60cm vertical face. Recurve, Longbow & Barebows will shoot single 60cm face.

Entries: £7.00 all classes

Judges: Mario Stankovic, Roger Elliot, Fred Andrews

Lady paramount: t.b.a.

Awards: 

Ladies and gents recurve, compound, longbow and barebow

Junior boy and girl in all classes, according to entry

Junior age groups 14 years and under 15 years and over

All archers must be affiliated to GNAS and will be asked to produce their membership cards when signing in

GNAS dress regulations in accordance with rule 307 applies all day. 

Record Status Shoots are liable for drug testing and competitors approached to give samples must comply; any refusal will be treated as a positive result. The entry form must be signed by a parent/guardian on behalf of Juniors to signify their consent to their child being tested if approached.

In compliance with gnas child protection guidelines any person wishing to engage in any form of photography or video must register with the tournament organiser.

Wheelchair archers please state whether right of left handed.

Light refreshments are available throughout the day.

The hall is equipped with backstop netting; the Organisers, Joseph Whitaker School or Notts Archery Society accept no responsibility for loss or damage to equipment or personal possessions.

The results will be posted for five minutes for objections, before the presentation, after which no alteration will be made.

No refunds for cancellation will be given after the closing date.

All rounds will be shot to G.N.A.S. Rules 304. All ends will consist of 2 x 3 Arrows.

Medals will be given for all rounds shot including the Double round (Long National & National as well as the Double National) for Ladies, Gentlemen & Juniors shooting Recurve, Compound, Longbow & Barebow (G.N.A.S. Rule 204).

Refreshments and Raffle will be on sale through out the day.

1. All archers must be affiliated to GNAS and will be asked to produce their membership cards when signing in

2. GNAS dress regulations in accordance with rule 307 will apply and the timing of shooting will be to 304(f) Method 1.

3. In compliance with GNAS Child Protection guidelines any person wishing to engage in any form of photography or video must register with the Tournament Organiser.

4. Light refreshments are available throughout the day.

5. Wheelchair archers please state whether right of left handed.

The firelight 50 is a fun shoot that takes place in the dark! Sighters are shot during twilight, the target faces being illuminated from underneath for the competition!

This year we are pleased to also invite compound archers to compete.

5 Dozen arrows are shot at 50 yards

(20 yards for juniors under 16, 12-16 yrs can opt for adult distance)

6 arrows shot per end and 10 zone scoring will be used.

Pure Carbon Shafts are NOT permitted

Entry Fee = Senior £ 7:50 Junior £6:50

 This includes a free* barbeque for competitors.

For those not shooting Barbeque will cost £4:00

 Please bring own beverages.

 It is essential that each person in attendance brings their own torch

Compound & Recurve will shoot separate 3 spot 40cm vertical faces. Longbow & Barebow will shoot single 40cm faces.

Inspection of equipment will take place throughout each session. Closing date for entries is 10 th November 2012.

NOTES

  • All archers must be affiliated to G.N.A.S. or a F.I.T.A. association and produce their membership cards when signing in.
  • G.N.A.S. Dress code Rule 307 applies all day.
  • These are school premises and as such Nottinghamshire County Council operate a NO SMOKING policy on all of its premises and grounds.
  • The hall is equipped with backstop netting; however, EMAS nor the Organisers or Joseph Whitaker School accept responsibility for loss or damage to equipment or personal possessions.
  • In compliance with G.N.A.S Child Protection guidelines any person wishing to engage in any form of photography or video must obtain the authorization of the Tournament Organiser. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse or rescind such authorisation of persons not abiding by the Organisers conditions.
  • Record Status Shoots are liable for drug testing and competitors approached to give samples must comply; any refusal will be treated as a positive result.
  • The entry form must be signed by a parent/guardian on behalf of Juniors to signify their consent to their child being tested if approached.
  • Results will be displayed for five minutes for objections prior to the presentation of awards. A preliminary Target list will be displayed on the E.M.A.S. website 3 days before the shoot. Results will be displayed on the E.M.A.S. website http://www.emasarchery.co.uk/
  • Wheelchair archers please state whether left or right handed.
  • Current Handicaps should be given to the Organiser before practise to be eligible for handicap awards.
